Maureen Warner

Client Director, RGN BSc (Hons)

Maureen is a client director within QFI Consulting.  Prior to moving into this role, Maureen spent over twenty-five years working in the National Health Service where she held a number of clinical and non-clinical roles.  A significant proportion of her career was spent in the community/primary care sector where she held various nurse management positions.

Maureen was introduced to QFI Consulting and the Theory of Constraints when she was head nurse/hospital manager in an Oxford community hospital.  It was within this role that she was charged with implementing the QFI-Discharge-Jonah approach.  The implementation was so successful that she was asked to roll out QFI-Discharge-Jonah into a further ten community hospitals across the Oxford region.  Under Maureen's leadership this project delivered a 50% reduction in length of stay.

Maureen's background has allowed her to develop specialist knowledge of the primary care and mental health functions of the healthcare service, and it is within these areas that she has a particular interest in developing the application of the Theory of Constraints. She is trained in the Theory of Constraints operations management, Critical Chain project management, and the Thinking Processes.  She is also qualified in both MBTI and Firo-B psychometric testing.

Maureen has worked on many QFI implementations.   More recently this list has been extended to include Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, London Road Community Hospital, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, Derbyshire Primary Care Trust, Barnet & Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust, and Maasstad Ziekenhuis in The Netherlands.  Maureen has also been leading the implementation into the mental health arena with her work in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust.
